Okay Melbourne, you've seen what Sydney's capable of – have you got what it takes to COD?

After the great success of the Sydney launch, we're aiming to really get things kick-started this Saturday afternoon from 2pm at Collected Works bookshop (1st Floor, Nicholas Building, 37 Swanston Street Melbourne) with a launch to make those boffins at Cape Canaveral proud.

tom see will be reading poewemz from his collection. David Prater will be officially launching the book and COD as a press. Journalists will be hanging off the rafters. Illustrator Charles Lake will be on hand to be admired. Kris Hemesley will be reeling in buyers from behind his counter. You'll be there nibbling on crunchy nuts and sipping red wine. We'll all be there soaking up the vibe of books and reading.

Deal? Good.

Copies of “OI” will naturally also be available for sale, signing and (if you ask nicely) individual dedications.

While we can't rule out anything, we are sorry to announce that Doris, the former Hollywood superstar who brightened up our Sydney launch, will not be appearing. Then again, we hope she'll be there in spirit …
