Approximately fifty punters from all walks of life converged on Surry Hills' Hollywood Hotel last Saturday afternoon for the highly entertaining launch of “OI: poewemz bii tom see”. The venue, speakers, beer, food and music were all top notch and this, again, surely augurs well for Australia's newest and most wriggly publisher, COD.

Guest speaker Adrian Wiggins fired off a few salvos as is his wont, before tom see impressed the audience with his all-singing all-dancing stage show. Free drinks were imbibed, copies of said book were sold and signed then, most excitingly, proprietor Doris (herself a former Hollywood movie star) pulled out the acoustic and sang a few numbers, gratis. Not to be outdone, the incredibly fluid Enjoyable Super Machine stood on chairs and squashed into corners for a lively forty minute set.

With that, both COD and “OI” were officially launched. We'll post some piccies from the launch for your perusal very soon. All you Melbourne poetry heads, let's make this Saturday's Melbourne launch even bigger, hokay?
